How To Rebuild My Credit

OK , so your ready to start climbing that mountain but don't have a clue on where to start. First let me give you a little advice, getting good credit and keeping good credit comes with responsibilities. You have to learn how to manage your money. Maybe your spending habits are what pushed you off the cliff in the first place? Who knows? Try to keep a monthly budget no matter how much money you have.

Now here are some ways to improve your credit:
  • First you should find out what your credit report looks like. I recommend checking all three credit bureaus, because most likely all three are different. This is because lenders do not have to report to all three credit bureaus. The three major credit bureaus are Experian,Equifax, and TransUnion. You are able to view these reports for free once a year. Here is a link to check your credit report annualcreditreport.com Make sure you make copies or save it to your computer for future reference. Go over your report and make sure there are no mistakes. If there are, write down the problem because you are going to want to dispute the problem. Take your time and be thorough.
  • After you've gone over your report, you are going to want to try to pay off any dept. If you can't afford your current payments contact the creditors to set up a different payment plan. Creditors are most likely willing to work with you, because they want there money!
  • Now you are gonna want to help yourself out here. If the creditors are willing to work with you its up to you to work with them. Importance Of Credit

In my opinion credit is very important. If you have purchased a car,a home, applied for a loan, or you are thinking about doing so, you should know that the first thing the lender checks is your credit. Basically your credit gives the lender a snapshot of how well you payback others. How creditworthy are you? If you have bad credit or no credit at all the possibilities of getting a loan or approved for anything is very slim in most cases. Now lets say you got in a bind and where unable to make payments on a loan and fell behind and watched hopelessly as your credit score plummeted to the ground faster than Wiley Coyote falling off a cliff. I know how horrible this is because I have been there and experienced it first hand. Now climbing back up that cliff can be a little harder and may take more time, but it can be done! I hope that this blog can help you and give you more information on ways to improve your credit, and for those who are just starting out on your credit journey I hope that this helps you as well.
